Euro Media Awards Ceremony to take place on the 19th of April in Vienna

Dear Ladies and Gentleman,

Since 1995 the European Society for Education and Communication (ESEC) awards high quality media productions that critically support the European discourse by discussing the objectives, perspectives, problems, conditions and challenges of European Societies. The Erasmus EuroMedia Awards honour productions focusing on and promoting European values and identity, social integration, solidarity, diversity and peaceful neighbourhood, and – by that – pursuing educational goals.

An international jury of experts in the field of media evaluated a wide range of productions (TV-series, films, websites, learning materials, books) from several European countries through didactic and scientific analysis and nominated 23 of them for this year’s Awards. The Winners of the 2013 EuroMedia Grand Award, of the two Special Awards and the winners of the medals will be announced and presented at the solemn EuroMedia Awards cermony on

19 April 2013 (09:30 am – 12:30 noon)
at the Aula of the Campus of the University of Vienna

Erasmus EuroMedia Award 2012 cancelled

Dear friends and prospective applicants – we very much regret to have to announce the cancellation of the EEMA 2012. Due to financial restrictions we are not be able to arrange an award organization for this year. You might have been waiting for the call for application for this year. We are late with this announcement because we still have been hoping and waiting for financial support. Unfortunately in vain. After many attempts we received cancellations from all eventual partners for this year or even promises under conditions of reductions they would not give us the possibility to arrange the award in a way as we know you would expect it.
We will use this interruption for a re-start of Erasmus EuroMedia Award in 2013 since this award already has become a well recognized and a very much in demand one. Please keep in mind to be back with us for the coming year. With best wishes for your further success, Thomas A. Bauer.
